Native Sun operates on the Gulf Coast of Florida in Citrus County, the heart of an area nicknamed "The Nature Coast." Although we are only an hour or so away from the Tampa metropolitan area, the atmosphere is laid back country.

Homosassa State Wildlife Park View native Florida wildlife, including the endangered manatee.

Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge Over 31,000 acreas of salt marsh preserve. Chassahowitzka is the destination of Operation Migration's ultralight flight path--volunteers use ultralight craft to teach the endangered whooping crane a migratory path from Wisconsin to a summer home in the preserve. Withlacoochee Trail Excellent paved walking and biking running alongside the lakes in downtown Inverness and beyond.

Withlacoochee State Forest The third largest state forest in Florida, the Withlacoochee is composed of several separate tracts within our area.

Crystal River Archaelogical State Park This National Historic Landmark is a 61 acre site that contains the remains of a Native American ceremonial complex.
