Explore the First Coast, naturally
Explore the Matanzas River and step into a bit of real Florida without going far. Minutes from St. Augustine, you’ll climb onboard our comfortable 24-foot Carolina Skiff to watch for dolphins and other wildlife, as we bring you into the heart of the beautiful Matanzas on Florida’s First Coast. This waterway stretches for 20 miles from St. Augustine to the south as a natural portion of the larger Intracoastal Waterway of Florida’s east coast.
Safety Measures: At this time, we are converting all of our tours to private trips – only a single group of 2-6 passengers for any given trip. Our captain will be wearing a mask during on- and off-boarding and we ask passengers to do the same. We are also sanitizing our skiff between all trips.
We’ve Got Your Trip to Natural Florida Covered
Whether you’re a local St. Augustine resident or a visitor, Native Sun Tours offers you the chance to spend a few hours experiencing the Matanzas River and its connecting creeks and surrounding tidal marshes.
Beyond the historic streets of St. Augustine, our region offers an abundance of natural areas that reflect the beauty of Real Florida. The Matanzas River is one of those natural treasures that beckons you to experience the natural wonder of Northeast Florida.
With his years of experience on various waterways on both the east and west coast of Florida, Captain Russ has an old salt’s knowledge of near-shore waters and their native occupants. He’ll keep an eye out for dolphins and other marine life (we might even spot a sea turtle or manatee), while giving you an interesting and informative overview of the area.
